The author wanted to create a meaningful children’s story about Pip, a curious little rabbit learning about friendship, belonging, peer pressure, and making healthy choices. The story was designed to help children understand difficult emotions and recognize the difference between true friendship and relationships that may not be safe or supportive.
I created a colorful, expressive illustration style with friendly animal characters designed to be approachable and relatable for young readers. Pip and the supporting characters were developed with distinct personalities and expressive body language to help communicate the emotional moments of the story visually.
I illustrated the story scenes, designed the front cover, and created the interior page layouts while maintaining a consistent visual style throughout the book. The illustrations were composed to work naturally with the Portuguese text and support the story’s emotional narrative.
The completed project included custom character illustrations, illustrated story scenes, a fully designed front cover, and formatted interior pages. The final book combines a colorful children’s illustration style with a thoughtful story about friendship, confidence, emotional intelligence, and making healthy choices.
