The author wanted to create an exciting children’s adventure story about Eeny, Meeny, Miney and Mo as they set off on a search for a wizard. The story needed a fun magical world with memorable characters, dragons, and a sense of adventure that would keep young readers interested.
I used a soft watercolor style to give the book a warm and playful storybook feel. I focused on making the four children easy to recognize while creating friendly, expressive dragons and colorful fantasy environments. The illustrations were kept consistent throughout the book and designed to follow the story naturally.
The 58-page illustrated children’s book was completed over a 5-week timeline, including the cover and interior illustrations. The final artwork brought the children, dragons, and magical adventure to life with a colorful and consistent watercolor look. The illustrations were developed according to the author’s requirements and feedback.
