The project was created as part of the Mike children's book series, following Mike and his family as they explore an exciting aquarium filled with colorful sea life. The goal was to create vibrant, engaging illustrations that would make the underwater world and the family's experience come alive for young readers.
The illustrations needed to combine expressive characters with detailed aquatic environments, colorful fish, jellyfish, coral, and other sea creatures while maintaining the recognizable visual style of the Mike series.
We created bright, colorful illustrations with a playful children's-book aesthetic. The aquarium scenes were designed with rich underwater environments, colorful marine life, expressive characters, and strong visual depth to make each scene feel immersive and exciting.
We paid particular attention to the character expressions and family interactions while building detailed aquarium environments around them. The artwork was developed to maintain consistency with the Mike series while giving the aquarium story its own vibrant underwater atmosphere.
The finished artwork brought Mike's aquarium adventure to life with vibrant colors, expressive characters, and detailed underwater scenes. The illustrations create an exciting visual experience for children while keeping the characters and overall style consistent with the Mike book series.
The project was completed as part of an ongoing collaboration with the author, who has continued returning for additional Mike books. The author also included a special acknowledgment thanking Aadil for bringing Mike to life through the illustrations.
