🔒 Data Protection

Privacy Policy

At Kidillus, we deeply respect the privacy and trust of every client, author, and artist who interacts with our ecosystem.

💡

Our goal is to protect both your private personal information and your public creative portfolio with the same care we apply to the technology we build.

📂 1. Information We Collect

We collect different types of data depending on how you use Kidillus (as a Service Client or a Publishing Author). This includes:

  • Personal Identity: Name, email address, and contact preferences shared during registration.
  • Agency Project Data (Private): Manuscripts, sketches, reference files, and chat logs related to custom illustration orders.
  • Platform Data (Public): Book covers, descriptions, ISBNs, and Author Bios that you voluntarily upload to list on our bookstore.
  • Financial Records: Transaction history for Wallet top-ups, VIP subscriptions, and service invoices. (Note: We do not store raw credit card numbers; these are handled by secure gateways).
  • Technical Metrics: IP address, browser type, and login timestamps to secure your User Dashboard.

⚙️ 2. How We Use Your Data

Kidillus processes data transparently for legitimate, user-centered purposes:

  • Service Delivery: To fulfill illustration orders and manage project timelines via the Dashboard.
  • Platform Visibility: To display your published books and Author Profile to the public (only the data you explicitly list).
  • Wallet Management: To track your credits, refunds, and spending history accurately.
  • Communication: To send order updates, download links, and invoice receipts.
  • Legal Compliance: To fulfill tax and accounting requirements under Indian law.

👁️ 3. Public vs. Private Data (Important)

Since Kidillus is both a studio and a publishing platform, we clearly distinguish between two types of data:

🔒 Private Data

Your email, phone number, wallet balance, and unpublished manuscripts are strictly confidential. They are never visible to other users or the public.

🌐 Public Data

When you use the "Add Book" feature, the book cover, title, description, and your Author Name become publicly visible on the Kidillus website to help you promote your work.

🛡️ 4. Security Measures & Proprietary Tech

Your data is protected by our Proprietary PHP Engine. Unlike generic sites that use vulnerable third-party plugins, our system is hand-coded for maximum security.

  • Encryption: All data transfer occurs over 256-bit SSL encryption.
  • Access Control: Your private dashboard is password-protected and accessible only to you and authorized admins.
  • Payment Security: All financial transactions are processed via PCI-DSS compliant gateways like Razorpay, Stripe, or PayPal.

4.1. EBook Studio & Automated Tool Security

Kidillus EBook Studio and our self-publishing tools are designed with specific privacy safeguards to protect your intellectual property:

⏱️ Transient Processing

Files uploaded for conversion are processed temporarily. We do not keep permanent records of these manuscripts.

🗑️ Automatic File Purge

Original and converted files are permanently deleted from our servers within 1 to 2 hours of processing.

🤖 Zero Human Intervention

The conversion process is 100% automated. No Kidillus team member manually accesses or reads your uploaded content.

🚫 No AI Training

Your manuscripts are strictly processed for file conversion only. We do NOT use your content to train AI models or LLMs.

💾 5. Data Retention

We keep necessary project and account data for record-keeping and warranty validation.

  • If you delete a book from your dashboard, it is removed from public view immediately.
  • If you request permanent account deletion, your personal data is erased, though financial transaction logs must be retained for tax purposes.
⚠️

Note on Studio Tools: Files uploaded via the EBook Studio tool are NOT considered account data and are strictly subject to our immediate deletion policy (removed within 1 hour).

🤝 6. Third-Party Services & Sharing

To enhance user experience, Kidillus integrates with trusted partners:

  • Google Analytics — for anonymous website performance tracking.
  • Google reCAPTCHA — to prevent spam and bot attacks on your forms.
  • Email Providers — for sending secure system notifications.

Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policies compliant with global standards like GDPR.

7. Cookies & Session Data

We use cookies to keep you logged into your User Dashboard and to remember your preferences (like language or cart items). Disabling essential cookies may prevent you from accessing secure areas of the platform (e.g., your Wallet or Order Chat). For full details, please see our Cookie Policy.

8. Data Sharing & Confidentiality

🤝

We never sell or trade user data. Information is shared only with internal team members who assist in fulfilling your project. We do not share your unpublished manuscripts or private sketches with anyone outside the Kidillus production team.

⚖️ 9. Your Rights

As a Kidillus user, you maintain full control over your digital footprint. You have the right to:

  • Access and download a copy of your personal data.
  • Edit your Public Author Profile or delete listed books at any time.
  • Request account deletion (“right to be forgotten”) after active orders are completed.

To exercise these rights, please email us at [email protected].

🌍 10. Children & International Data

10. Children’s Privacy

While we create books for children, our platform services are intended for parents, authors, and publishers (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

11. International Data Processing

Kidillus operates primarily from India but serves clients globally. Data may be processed on secure international servers, always in compliance with applicable privacy laws.
