At Kidillus, every illustration and creative project is carefully crafted with personal attention and artistic precision. While we aim to exceed expectations, this policy defines when and how refunds or cancellations may apply across our custom digital artwork, printed books, and digital platform subscriptions.

All refund requests are handled with empathy and transparency. Our goal is to maintain fairness for both the client’s investment, the artist’s time, and the platform's integrity.

🎨 Agency Services: Cancellation Stages

For custom illustration, formatting, or design orders, refund eligibility depends entirely on the current stage of production:

1. Before Work Begins

If you cancel your order before any creative work, brainstorming, or sketching has started, you are entitled to a 100% refund (minus any unrecoverable payment gateway transaction fees). A written request must be made within 24 hours of order confirmation.

2. Work in Progress

Once preliminary sketches, drafts, or concept outlines have been shared, only a partial refund may apply (typically 25% to 50% of the total value). This accounts for the invested time, creative labor, and communication already provided.

3. After Final Delivery

Once the final illustration, design, or digital file has been delivered and approved, no refunds can be issued. We provide a review and revision phase before final delivery to ensure your complete satisfaction with the outcome.

✏️ Revision Assurance

If there are genuine issues after delivery such as file corruption, missing elements, or unmet project scope, our team will resolve them promptly at no extra cost within the agreed revision window.

4. Publishing Platform & VIP Subscriptions

For authors and users utilizing the self-publishing tools, automated services, and marketing upgrades:

  • VIP & Gold Badges: Subscription plans (e.g., "Top Rank", "VIP Badge") are non-refundable once the plan is active and the visual/marketing benefits have been applied to your account.
  • Book Listing Fees: Any fees paid to list or promote a book are final. Deleting a book voluntarily from your dashboard does not qualify you for a refund of the listing fee.
  • Renewals: If you fail to cancel a recurring subscription before the renewal billing date, the charged amount is non-refundable.

📖 5. Printed Books (Physical Orders)

For authors ordering physical copies via our Print-on-Demand service:

Since every book is custom-printed specifically for you upon order, we cannot offer refunds for a "change of mind." However, we do offer Free Replacements in the following specific cases:

✅ Free Replacement Allowed

  • Manufacturing Defect: Pages missing, binding glue failure, or severe printing ink errors.
  • Shipping Damage: Book arrived torn, wet, or bent. (Photographic proof required within 48 hours of delivery).

🚫 Exceptions (No Refund)

We are NOT responsible for typos, spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, or low-quality images that were part of the manuscript/file you uploaded or approved. Please proofread your manuscript carefully before ordering prints.

💳 6. Kidillus Wallet Balance

Funds added to the Kidillus Wallet are non-transferable to a personal bank account. They do not expire and can be used for any future service (Illustration, Formatting, or Promotion) on the platform.

Wallet balances are only refunded to the original payment method in rare cases of technical double-charges, proven system errors, or if Kidillus permanently discontinues a service you prepaid for.

🛑 7. Refund Eligibility Exceptions

Please note the following absolute exceptions where refunds are not applicable under any circumstances:

  • Refunds cannot be processed for custom illustrations, storybook pages, or commissioned artworks after completion and handover.
  • Refunds are not applicable to instant downloads, pre-made digital assets, or active promotional/discounted offers.
  • In the case of third-party involvement (like external publishing platforms, Amazon KDP rejections, or courier delays), Kidillus holds no refund responsibility.

8. Refund Process & Timeline

Once a refund is officially approved by our support team, it will be processed within 7–10 business days through the exact same payment method used for the original purchase. Depending on your payment provider (PayPal, Stripe, Razorpay, or your bank), processing times to reflect on your statement may vary slightly.

9. Non-Delivery or Technical Errors

If you made a payment but did not receive your artwork, digital files, or account upgrade due to a system glitch or network failure, please contact us immediately at [email protected]. We will verify the transaction hash and reissue your files or manually activate your plan within 24–48 hours.

🌩️ 10. Force Majeure & Unforeseen Events

In rare cases where Kidillus cannot complete a project due to circumstances beyond human control — such as natural disasters, severe internet outages, severe illness, or other unforeseen disruptions — we will communicate transparently and offer either:

  • A fair, prorated refund based on the amount of unfinished work, or
  • A mutually agreed rescheduled delivery timeline.

11. Certificate of Completion & Delivery Record

Each completed Kidillus agency project includes a digital certificate of completion confirming authenticity, date of delivery, and creative rights transfer. Once this certificate and the final files are sent, the order is considered 100% fulfilled and closed under our refund policy.

⚖️ 12. Dispute Resolution & Chargebacks

We highly encourage all clients to first contact us directly at [email protected] for any dispute. We prefer to resolve issues amicably through discussion, revisions, or store credit before a formal refund claim is escalated.

Chargeback Notice: Fraudulent chargebacks or disputes filed without prior communication will result in immediate suspension of your Kidillus account, cancellation of IP usage rights for delivered artwork, and a ban from future services.

13. Policy Changes

Kidillus may update or modify this refund policy periodically to ensure compliance with fair business practices and consumer protection laws. All revisions will be posted on this page with the updated date. Continued use of our services after any change signifies your acceptance of the revised policy.
